ChatCollector is a Chrome extension that helps users save and manage conversations from AI chat websites such as ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, and Doubao. This extension is designed to store user-selected conversation content locally in the browser so the user can review, export, favorite, categorize, and delete it later.
ChatCollector 是一款 Chrome 扩展，用于帮助用户保存和管理来自 ChatGPT、Gemini、DeepSeek 和豆包等 AI 聊天网站中的对话内容。该扩展的设计目标是将用户主动选择保存的会话内容保存在浏览器本地，便于用户后续查看、导出、收藏、分类和删除。
When you actively use the extension to save a conversation, the extension may collect and store the following information from the currently supported AI chat page:

All saved conversation data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage. ChatCollector does not require you to create an account and does not operate a cloud sync service.

ChatCollector does not upload your saved conversation content to the developer’s server.

ChatCollector may request the following Chrome permissions:

The extension only runs on supported AI chat websites that are explicitly listed in the extension manifest.

The extension allows users to export saved conversations to local files and import conversation files back into the extension. These actions are initiated by the user.

Imported files are processed locally in the browser environment. Exported files are created locally for the user’s own use and control.

Your saved data remains in your browser until you delete it, clear browser storage, or uninstall the extension.

You can remove saved conversations inside the extension. Uninstalling the extension may also remove locally stored extension data, subject to Chrome’s storage behavior.

ChatCollector interacts with supported AI chat websites only to read the conversation content visible on the page when the user requests a save action. The extension may also open the user’s local email client when the user clicks the feedback button.

ChatCollector is not directed to children and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.
